Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Growth, Gratitude, and New Beginnings

As 2024 draws to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we've had this year at A&F Psychological Services. This year has been filled with milestones, growth, and a deep sense of gratitude for the clients and families we work with. Your trust in us has been the cornerstone of our success, so we want to thank you. Whether through neurodivergent assessments or therapy, it has been an honour to work alongside each of you in striving for better mental health and a more balanced life. Your commitment to this process and your courage to seek support have made this year special.

We’re proud to share some of the highlights that made 2024 a year of meaningful progress for our practice:

1. Expanding Our Services: Autism & Cognitive Assessments

One of the most significant developments this year has been the expansion of our assessment offerings. We officially launched our autism assessment, providing a vital service to families seeking a comprehensive understanding of neurodivergence. With the increasing demand for such assessments, we are proud to be part of a movement that brings clarity, support, and a path forward for many individuals and their loved ones. We follow NICE guidelines and have our assessments accepted by the NHS and GP practices.

Additionally, we expanded our cognitive assessments, further enhancing our ability to support people with diverse needs. These assessments help us better understand each individual's unique challenges and strengths, enabling us to provide more tailored and effective therapy interventions.

2. Streamlining Operations with a Virtual Assistant

To improve efficiency and enhance our client experience, we hired a virtual assistant this year. This strategic decision has allowed us to streamline our processes, ensuring that we can provide quicker responses, better appointment scheduling, and more seamless communication. We’re excited that this addition has enabled us to focus more on what truly matters – delivering the highest level of psychological care to our clients. Thank you for all your hard work this year Jo and Jane.

3. Welcoming a New Associate to Our Therapy Team

We’re thrilled to have welcomed Dr. Harriet Dymond, a new associate to our therapy team. With her expertise, passion, and commitment to providing personalised care, she has already begun making a positive impact on our service, bringing fresh ideas to improve our practice. We’re excited to continue growing our therapy services to meet the needs of more individuals in the community.

Gratitude for Our Clients

As we look back on the year, we are reminded of the resilience, strength, and courage our clients display. We’ve had the privilege of working with many amazing individuals and families who are dedicated to improving their mental health and well-being. Your commitment to the therapeutic process and your trust in us is something we do not take lightly. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your journey.

Wishing You a Safe and Healthy 2025

As we step into the new year, we want to wish you and your loved ones a safe, healthy, and prosperous 2025. Mental health is an ongoing journey, and we hope the coming year will bring even greater awareness, understanding, and support for everyone. We remain dedicated to providing the highest quality psychological service, and we look forward to supporting you all in the coming year.

Here’s to a 2025 that fosters better mental health for all. We can’t wait to continue walking this path with you.

Thank you again for your trust, and we wish you a peaceful, fulfilling New Year ahead.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The A&F Team
